It Ends With Me

It Ends With Me

1 in 6 men and 1 in 4 women have experienced sexual abuse as a child. Over 70% were abused by a family member.

And that's where the silence starts. No one wants to talk about being abused by a family member.

Why? Because of the shame. The fear. The cultural stigmas. The societal taboos. The family pressure.

And this silence tends to never be broken. It gets passed down through the generations like a dark, toxic, and unwanted heirloom.

This is why my dad became an alcoholic, had high blood pressure, and died from a heart attack when he was 48 years old (I only found out after his death that he was abused by the same man who abused me).

My social media content has garnered tens of millions of views (my story alone reaching over 50M people) since 2018.

But now it's time to take the next step and get this message out there in a huge way.

How? By creating a powerful film.

Nothing moves people emotionally more than a powerful film. A film that carries a story and message designed to create impact (just look at the impact Spotlight had when it came to institutional abuse).

After a successful film festival run, my ultimate goal for this film is for it to be viewed in every household around the world. Because each house represents a family, and that's where the silent survivors are — hanging on by a thread, desperate to be heard.

And it's those silent survivors that I want to reach with this film. To empower them to break the silence before it's too late (and create generational healing as a byproduct).

But the ONLY way we can get this movie made is through community support (YOU).

It'll cost us roughly £5,000 a day to shoot this film to a standard where it'll be taken seriously. And we're looking at a total of 20 shoot days.

Which is why we’re going to build this one shoot day at a time.

And for just £25, you can be one of 200 #Builders who help to fund a day's shoot.

One-Liner:

When a fitness influencer's father drinks himself to death at 48, his quest to understand why unearths a family secret that will force him to choose between protecting his perfect life or breaking the silence that killed his dad.

Short Synopsis:

Based on true events, IT ENDS WITH ME follows Perry Power, a charismatic fitness coach whose father, Andy, dies at 48 after a lifetime battling hidden demons. Perry's investigation into his father's secret alcoholism—vodka bottles hidden throughout their childhood home, a final text about "demons"—unearths a devastating truth: childhood sexual abuse that three generations of men have carried in silence. When fragments of Perry's own suppressed memories surface, he discovers he shares his father's buried trauma. Faced with maintaining the family secret or breaking it, Perry chooses to speak the unspeakable through the lens of his phone. His video transforms personal catastrophe into collective catharsis, giving thousands of survivors permission to break their own silence.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a donation or investment?

This is not an investment. This is strictly a contribution to help get this important film made.

Could I pay and sponsor a full shoot day?

Yes you can. We'll put your name on the call sheets for the day and give you a dedicated section in the rolling credits of the film too. Email [email protected] to discuss.

Will I see my name in the credits?

Only with the +£15 bump, which you can find on the checkout. WIth your £25 purchase, you'll see your name on 'The Builders Wall' (digital monument).

What does £25 actually do?

Every £25 moves the live counter towards getting a day funded, that's how important it is. 200 Builders fund a day, and you’ll see the day fill in real time.

Why can’t a studio fund this?

Because studios need certainty that they're going to make their money back (and more). And so with that, they require creative control in order to mould the film into something they believe will sell commercially. With that, the risk is too high that the story, the message, and the intent changes from what it was orignally meant to be. You could also be waiting years for a studio to fund it (that's if they ever do). This way, with community funding, we retain control every step of the way.
